MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Riley had a wonderful first Christmas! She received so many wonderful things! She is truly a blessed baby!

We are all so tired from the big day that we need to hit the hay a little early tonight, BUT...
we will post more pics tomorrow!

Riley and Santa

We went to my work christmas party Saturday night and Riley had her first visit with Santa. She was very good the whole night. We had a great time last night and are having a good Christmas season so far. We still need to finish hanging all the Christmas lights!

Snow in DC today!

We got a decent snow storm in DC today. I say it probably snowed about two to three inches. The picture is of me waiting to do the VP escort.

Riley's first day of daycare!

It was a sad day at the Senecal household today, we had to send Riley to her first day of daycare. She was a tropper about the whole thing, I think Mommy and Daddy were more upset then her:(

Riley is home from the hospital!

Riley came home from the hospital on Saturday afternoon and is doing great. We are happy she is home!

Riley update

Riley is still in the hospital, but she is doing good. We think she is going to get released today. She has been diagnosed with acid reflux, which we already knew. It is just a little more severe than they first thought. She is now going to have to see a gastro specialist. I willtry to let everyone when we finally make it home.

We had to take Riley to the hospital last night because she had some dried blood in her spit up. They decided to keep her overnight for monitoring. They are going to do some tests today to check her upper GI for ulcers. She might have to stay again tonight (fri.) depending on the results of the tests. I will try to keep everyone updated.

Riley and Grammy's week!

Riley seems to be getting bigger and bigger everyday! She loves to play in her bouncy chair and hit the rattle bears, it makes her laugh. She is laughing and smiling all the time now and trying to sit up on her own. She spent about 8 weeks with her Mom, about 3 weeks with her Dad and now almost a week with her Grammy. She is a great Baby we could not ask for more. Lisa and I truly feel blessed. Riley has also been sleeping through the night now for the past couple of weeks. She goes to bed about 10pm and wakes up around 730am. Next week Riley starts daycare, we are not looking forward to that. She just seems to small to be giving to a stranger to watch. Everything else is going great, we hope to have Christmas up this weekend.

Grandaddy's big Bus trip!

Halloween.....Round 2

Becoming a blonde!

Hi! Sorry for the lapse in postings! We have been pretty busy! We finally got some new pictures uploaded and figured we should post at least one! I can't believe how much lighter her hair has gotten already!

We went to see the doc today for some baby reflux issues! They changed her medicine so hopefully that should help!!! At least mommy hopes so since she is the one getting drenched in baby "spit up".....or in our case....baby throw up!!!

Here is a pic of Riley with her sister Jesse sharing a moment of affection! Jesse loves her new sister. We are all doing great. Riley is getting better day after day with sleeping at night. Riley is now sitting in her Bumbo chair by herself only for a few minutes each day. She is eating very good from the bottle, she weighed 9.8 lbs the other day at the dr. I will try to send more pics later.

Busy few days!

Hi all, it has been a busy few days at the Senecal household! I have been working a lot. It all started when I went back to work on Tues after my day off. I worked 14 hours on Tuesday for the bookfair. Last night I had to stay late for POTUS escort, he had a dinner engagement at the Library of Congress. Today I am staying late for a demo and possibly the Iraq escort. Tomorrow (sun) I am working 6 hrs OT in morning for a footrace and then coming back at 7pm and working until 7am mon for a security detail.
Riley is doing great, however she has been a little fussy the last couple of days. With all the working I have had only a few moments with Riley and Lisa. Lisa has taken on the brunt of the work at home and most of the caring for Riley. She is a great Mom, but she is completly exhausted. I need to try to find a way to give her a good long break today or tomorrow. Riley is doing well with the transition to the bottle. She is taking one feeding a day from the bottle.

Smithsonian Castle

This is one of my favorite buildings in DC. It is called the Smithsonian Castle Building. Well I had to come into work early this morning for a little OT. I am working the setup for the bookfair this morning. The event is put on Mrs. Bush to promote reading. I think the event is this weekend on the Mall, they are setting up the tents today. I am getting paid OT to watch, I know it is a hard job but someone has to do it.
Riley got her first full bath yesterday. We had to wait for belly button to heal before she could be submersed in water. We thought she would cry the whole time. but she didn't. She was great the entire time and actually looked as though she was enjoying it. I fed her with the bottle again last night, I like doing it and it gives Lisa a break. Riley seems to grow more atentive everyday, she spends a lot of time awake looking around studying the world around her. She is also grabbing at more things now.
That is all for, got to work till 9pm tonite.

Dad's first feeding!

Riley took her first bottle today, so I got to feed her. She did great and took the whole bottle (2.5 ounces). Football day today and go Yanks, its 3 to 3 right now!

Working OT for the navy 5 miler!

Working overtime this morning, I am leading the Navy 5 miler foot race. This is a picture of the starting point about 5 minutes before the race started. This afternoon, will be time for Riley and football.

After leading the race, I was positioned near the exit when I seen a guy go down. He was a 46 year white male in good shape. Basically he collapsed about 100 yards from the finish line from heat exhaustion. When they took him to hospital, they stated it could be more, he had to stay overnight for testing. Its sounds like the guy pushed himself to hard and should have listened to his body and stopped running. He could have permanently damaged himself. Hopefully, he will be allright.

Well, I am home now and ready to hang out with family and watch some football games today. Yanks are also playing this afternoon, it is turning into quite the playoff race.

Back to work today

Today is my first day back to work, Lisa and Riley are home alone. I really did not want to go back to work, but I guess I had to go back sometime. I was able to spend a few hours with Riley this morning while Lisa caught up on her sleep. We had a great time together this morning. Not much has changed at work. I had to respond up to the white house today to make a closure for an event for a few hours. I have to stay late tonight for a VP escort, first day back and I am getting to take the VP to dinner.

Doctor visits and tummy time

Today was Riley's 2 week checkup at the Dr office. She passed with flying colors gaining both weight and height. She now weighs 8 lbs 6 ounces and 21 inches long. We had another nice long walk today and the pic is from "tummy time".

Lisa left the house on her own today, this was the first time Riley and I were by ourselves. Lisa cried a little when she left, but then she was OK. Riley behaved really well for her Daddy. Not much else went on today, Lisa went and got her nails done, and went to the store. We have the two week Doctors appt tomorrow and I go back to work on Friday. Oh yeah, GO YANKEES!

We all had a great day today, nice and relaxing. I did finish spraying the fence today. I forgot to mention that riley lost her umbilical cord the other day.

Today's walk we decided to go to the local park. The state park is called Occoquan Regional park. We had another great outing.
